The lake is quiet and clean. I was almost tempted to swim. You can see Snowdonia from here and mountain range with different colour tones. There were various type of birds playing around the lake and it is worth a wait for sunset. Just enjoy my photos and you will know why I said it is breathtaking.

We have just spent a couple of days in the area and thoroughly enjoyed walking around this beautiful lake with Snowdon in the background. What more could you ask for, amazing place.

Enjoyed our little visit here, such an amazing location with loads of campsites nearby. Train runs around the lake and you can hire boats etc. Great day out with the family.

The nicer the weather, the better this walk around the lake would be. But we get what we get. Can park in a large car park opposite the Snowdon railway. £7 for full day. Really liked the pools at the end of the lake nearest the slate museum. Beautiful colours and reflections in the stillness of the water.

We set off from the high street in Llanberis and walked all the way around the lake which took us 2 hours. Good place for taking your dog.

Having set off just to walk to the end and back, we kept going all the way round. Although mostly flat, the back section is quite hilly on a road and some of the section back down through the woods to the Quarry Hospital requires some fitness. All told though very enjoyable.
