We visited Fairy Glen on 5th May 2021. The river was full of water after heavy rain earlier in the week. We walked there on a walk from Betws y Coed. We were happy to pay the £1 charge per person to enjoy the privately-owned and maintained Fairy Glen. We enjoyed the signposted circular walk round Fairy Glen.. The paths were well-maintained and there was plenty of of interest. WARNING. The steep slate steps down to the Glen are very slippery after heavy rain. Visitors with reduced mobility may not feel comfortable walking down the steps after heavy rain (when the waterfall is at its best). There should be A SAFETY HANDRAIL. It is not good enough just to put up signs saying Slippery Steps. We visited Conwy Falls afterwards and felt much safer there.

Stunning place to visit would highly recommend , we had a great time. The paths are well maintained, so perfect easy stroll or walk with young children. Lovey picnic spot to stop for lunch. Dog friendly (dogs to stay on leads) which is a bonus for us as we have two dogs. Perfect family walk.

Visited Fairy Glen after a recommend from family whilst in the area, simply stunning place not to be missed. You can do the forest or river walk on your way so we did alternate, highly recommend both. Once there... wow! It's like a different world, escape day to day life to visit this wonderful beauty spot. Fast flowing water, natural rock formations and stunning pictures. Be warned of the narrow steep steps on the way down, definitely won't suit everybody.

Accessing the glen is like going to a treasure hunt. Going through nature on the look to finally get to it. The way down can be wet and slippery, better have the right shoes while going in the stairs. But it is definitely worth it! It feels magical when you look at the glen and the flow of water. Slight note, make sure you have £1 per person in cash. After walking 50min from Betws y coed, we weren’t allowed access until we found some money. We offered to pay contactless in the b&b beside but it was refused and no option given until we managed to get so cash.

We visited the Fairy Glen at the end of September, and it was the most enchanting place. There is a well defined, well kept path to the Glen, dotted with picnic tables if you wanted to spend some time in the area. The walk down to the water is a little steep, but is well worth the effort, it is quiet, magical and you feel enveloped in nature. There have been reports of an angry farmer demanding money, codswallop, this is private land people, that is very well looked after so people can visit, this doesn’t come cheap, so the £1 per person is a real bargain, and you can stay as long as you want. Ignore the naysayers, this is a truly beautiful, tucked away place that will give visitors lovely, lovely memories
