Lots of hiking trails in the area with breathtaking scenery, view Holyhead mountain for a really good view of the area. Port of Holyhead is the place to catch the ferry to Dublin where the Guinness boat comes from.

This place is well worth a visit. Especially if you are into birds. The views are amazing. The only down side for me was getting down the steps, them being very steep. But even without going down to the lighthouse you are able to see...More

Buy tickets at the visitor centre. No access to the island without a ticket. No dogs allowed on the island. Stunning coastal walks without actually visiting the island. We saw the choughs flying. Well worth visiting. Would be nice to to walk from Holyhead.

I don't think the lighthouse is open, the visitor centre and the surrounding walks are beautiful, you can walk all the way down but not across the bridge to the lighthouse. I heard someone ask if it was still closed but... More
