A beautiful little house which appears to be a stunning example of a small tudor house. However most of the way the house appears now is due to the work of a pair of ladies who lived here together during the early 19th century. Much of the interior and exterior are covered with intricate wood carvings and it has a... More

Very interesting house tucked away on the hill. Wonderful exterior and interior, a little Gem. Get the informative audio guide, very good value for £1.50 , it leads you through the house and tell the story of the Ladies of Llangollen. Parking is limited so if you have time and energy park in the town and walk up

Very convenient place to visit if you are staying in the area as it is just on the outskirts of Llangollen. You can visit the grounds and garden, small gift shop and adjacent cafe free of charge. There is an entry charge to visit the interior of the house (which is a must) and well worth paying the modest extra... More

The audio guide is delightful and so informative, as are the guides themselves . For anyone who has read about Lady Sarah and Lady Eleanor this is a pilgrimage that you should combine with a visit to Langollen church to see their tomb.

Lovely little house just off the town centre of Llangollen and set in small but pretty gardens. Plans Newydd is well worth a look and the electronic guide us worth the extra pound or two. Amazing carvings all over the front of the building and the story of the two ladies is interesting. Definitely worth a visit if you've a... More

The house is worth the trip up the hill from llangollen town centre. It has lovely gardens and a walk by the stream and is steeped in history The ladies who lived here built a fee lovely places to sit and reflect and you can sit there still. The gardens are kept immaculate and the lawn is a lovely place... More

Lovely day out with baby in pushchair. She loved the kids room and old fashioned toys. Beautiful views and lovely picnic. Will be returning next year.

We decided to visit the Plastic Newydd following a recommendation from a local and enjoyed our visit. I would highly recommend paying the additional £1.50 for the audio handset as it brought the whole experience to life.

Not the biggest of houses to visit but plenty to look at and read. The lady sat outside in the porch (in the rain) was very informative and seemed to know her stuff. Reasonably priced cafe. We didn't walk the grounds due to the weather but we were not disappointed with our visit.
