Interesting and old Cathedral, dating back to the 11th century. I did not expect much, but was pleasantly surprised - I liked the interior, with ist wooden roof and the very nice windows. There is a charming little chapel room to the right. Well worth...More

I am sure this is a delightful cathedral church. Unfortunately I could not gain access. I came on two occasions, only to discover that the advertised opening times are meaningless. Early closing on both days. I thought Anglican cathedrals were places where regular services are...More

I attended a memorial service here one Saturday afternoon. Thankfully I reconnoitred this site the night before, as my Tom Tom postcode locator was way out and parking's not the best. Found fairly centrally within the city. The surrounding grounds were clean with basic grassed...More

Interesting and peaceful. If your in Bangor you must go and see this Cathedral, it is well worth the visit. The whole city is worth going to. What more could you ask for, history, seaside, countryside, shopping and nice people. Bangor is the whole package.

enjoyed a quick visit to the Cathedral and we were pleasantly impressed by the architecture on the ceiling and the windows at the end. A nice chatty man at the entrance gave us a leaflet and made us felt welcome.

Most cathedrals are old in the UK, but this one claims to be the oldest, and looking at it, in places they could be right. I always enjoy visiting cathedrals, each one has a unique atmosphere, and this one certainly had.
