Worcester Cathedral is simply splendid - show the children the superb stained glass window with many exotic animals. There is a beautiful riverside walk lined with chestnut trees from the Cathedral to the centre of the city and the swan sanctuary - stunning in the Spring

Worcester Cathedral dominates the city views especially from the west but can be seen from most of the surrounding streets. Such a beautiful building, worth walking around even if not in ti history and beautiful gardens if weather good. We are so lucky with our cathedrals and we just loved our recent family visit with ages from 5 through to 73. We were lucky that there was a Christmas Tree Festival in the cloisters which was a special added attraction. Don't visit without calling in at the cathedral, no minimum entrance fee. midnight mass was absolutely lovely.
