You can drive up there but is highly recommended to walk from Broadway, is a bit more than a mile and you can enjoy the views.

So worth it, the sheep and goats and all! Believe the guides when it says 2.5 hours round-trip from Broadway. We weren't really equipped for such a big hike, but it was a gorgeous day so we said, what the heck. It was the highlight of our trip to the U.K. The views were stunning, and we have a memorable... We went on a circular walk route starting at Broadway and arrived at the tower. The views are stunning. The climb to the top was well worth it.

If you are visiting the Cotswolds and particularly the Chipping Camden area then DO NOT miss a visit to Broadway Tower. This was built as a "Folly" but it's history and wartime use make it a unique building with fascinating tales and facts. Make the best use of time as this building and the displays inside deserve your full attention.... More

This tower doesn't really have any links to well known English history and in fact was offered to national trust and they declined to take it on but at only £5 pp to enter it was a good use of a wet afternoon. The 'nuclear bunker' is only open at the weekend and is not actually a bunker at only... More

Dear Helen, thank you so much for your visit and review. Good to hear you enjoyed the tower. Broadway Tower was built for the 6th Earl of Coventry as the brainchild of Lancelot "Capability" Brown. The Earl was Capability Brown's first but also his last employer, who launched him into a career in society and enabled his outstanding career as... More

The history, building and surroundings are wonderfully encapsulated by the historians persevering this iconic folly and it's history. With a cafe, gift shop and museum, it really does have something for everyone and a well trod footpath down into Broadway village allows the traveller to continue to explore the area. My only gripe is that paid parking is present (and... More

Broadway Tower provides a spectacular view of its Cotswold surroundings. But at £5 it feels a bit too much for a glorified viewpoint as many nearby hills offer an equally splendid view free of charge. It's a tourist attraction from the late 18th century rather than an ancient ruin, so there is not much architectural value. So yeah, you can... More

We did not pay to go int he tower but walked up from Broadway Village High Street, it is quite a tough steep walk but well worth it for the views, I would not pay the extortionate prices for entry to the tower though.
