I go to this theatre several times each year. Most recently last week to see the Rory Bremner tour. Fantastically funny and enjoyable evening. This was in the main house which is well tiered with comfortable seats and also good facilities for disabled people - lift, seats with wheelchair space alongside, etc. But very broad and eclectic range of shows.... Used to visit regularly but haven't been here for some time. Seats are very good value compared to other theatres e.g. The Mayflower, Southampton. We paid £19.50 for front row seats which was excellent value and the seats were really comfortable with lots of leg room. Programmes were also very cheap at £3.50. The downstairs was very busy on a... More

we live between bath and Salisbury, we used to go to Bath theatre Royal all the time, sadly prices and poor selection of play made us look elsewhere. Thank god for that as we found the Playhouse in Salisbury we started going some 3 years ago and we love it great staff, good selection of plays.

This is our 2nd time at this theatre. Is a good size so that wherever you sit there is zero good view. We got front row seats to give my husband more leg room. A couple of issues though... my husband is quite a big guy and he struggled to fit into the seat ... a real tight fit. Also... More

As we entered the foyer there was a group entertaining the public before the shows began, it was a happy atmosphere. We were in the theatre upstairs, it wasn't too big so all the seats had a good view of the stage. The theatre was very clean and comfortable. I would certainly recommend this theatre if like me you were... More

We went to see "Worst wedding ever". The set, cast, atmosphere were excellent. Overall a brilliant night out and will definitely look to go again next time I'm in the area.

Regular visitors to this gem of a theatre. Never disappointed. A good variety of performances with quality at every turn. Comfortable seating with a good view from anywhere/everywhere. Massive car park (still free after 6:00pm) is a real bonus. Staff always friendly and helpful. Plenty of good eating options in the close proximity including a very good in-house restaurant.

Great little provincial theatre. I must go about 10 times a year plus of course the annual Panto. Free parking in central car parking after 6pm both under cover and open. The Main Playhouse normally stages dramas, the odd musical. The 200 seater Salzburg theatre hosts more avant garde, intimate productions. Its a great facility for Salisbury.

Great little theatre, with added bonus of being next to massive car park. Comfortable graduated seating means excellent view and pretty good acoustics. Cheerful staff, with (perhaps could do with on or two more serving in bar when full house). Several ok restaurants close by.
