This NT property has only a very small NT sign at the entrance to the Parking, but it's not that hard to find. The Philipp's House is not open to the public, but the parkland and a woodland walk are. The NT have printer-friendly downloadable map of the walk: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/dinton-park-and-philipps-house/trails/dinton-park-walk which you should bring with you. The first bit is straightforward,... More

Had an afternoon to spare in the area and the description seemed quite good. Had our daughter and granddaughter with us. Park is not pushchair friendly (NT says disabled access) and we found the pushchair very difficult to push over very rough ground NT says well worn paths and benches but we found neither. Gave up after about quarter of... More

Although the house is not open to the public at the moment, the surrounding parkland is definitely worth a visit. Take a picnic and a flask of coffee and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful parkland.

As we were late in the day we did not have the chance to visit Phillips house and experience the tenant pleasant or unpleasant we will never know. This was a baking hot day, one of the few I'm sure we will experience, and we had a lovely circular walk through the large but doable park. Many cows were munching... More

We visited here one afternoon and left feeling very disappointed with Dinton Park and the National Trust. We parked the car at Phillipps House ... not realising that this was not allowed and came back to our car being blocked in by the tenant of Phillipps House. We apologised to the tenant only to be spoken too very abruptly and... More

One of the most beautiful houses in the Wiltshire countryside. Dinton is certainly a place to visit for a country walk and Philipps House is a treasure worth walking for!

Had a super walk here today, mansion to the right, lake to the left. Met lots of lucky local doggies who no doubt treat this place as an extension of their back yard! Friendly humans too.

The house was not open when we visited but we enjoyed a long walk through parkland and woods. There are no toilet facilities but a fantastic place for many varied walks.

One of Wiltshire's best kept secrets, this small area of parkland of mature trees and lakes encloses a palladian mansion and an exquisite rococo manor house. All of which lies at the end of one of the Nadder Valley's loveliest and most unspoilt villages. The National Trust owns and manages the land. A tenant occupies the mansion which is open... More
