There are many burial mounds in the area, but this is the only one that showed signs of humans living there also. We went with Anderson Tours and Katia was excellent.

It is half mile walk up hill to the barrow but worth the effort. You can go inside and get a feeling for what it was like for the ancestors who placed their dead here.

It is a nice walk up to the Barrow from the main road and there are some great views up there. It was nice to have a wander around the long barrow too. Very interesting. We visited on our way to Avebury stone circle.
