overpriced, rude, and dirty sums this place up
Jun 2015 • Solo
I visited this Spa for the first time about 6 years ago and it was absolutely top notch, I had a full day booked and all my treatments and lunch etc... were amazing.
Fast forward 6 years and it is a totally different place, it has become outrageously expensive and the treatments just aren't worth it. I had a facial and the girl that started my facial had obviosuly just been out for a cigarette as her hands stank. I asked her, very politely if she could possibly wash her hands as all I could smell was the smoke on them, she then launched at me saying that she didn't smoke when she so obviously did and her breath stank. So this wasn't a very relaxing treatment at all. I asked her to give up halfway through as I couldn't take the smell any longer. I then went through to the relaxation area to wait for my next treatment and it was full of old magazines, dirty cups and towels. My next treatment time came and went and no-one came to find me, so I had to go back up to reception and they said that I hadn't booked a massage when I quite clearly had and had the confirmation to prove it, but the receptionist made out that I was lying. So in the end I gave up and went home. It was such a ridiculous waste of money, and no-one I have complained to has taken any notice and I would urge people to avoid this dirty hovel.

Relaxing?! Not this time
Aug 2014
I should have stayed well clear.. the booking process was a farse and the manager was very rude.. You can tell this place has changed hands. A member of staff called in sick so all treatment times changes (actually not a big deal) but the member of staff was clearly unhappy and wanted everyone to know. The facilities are nice enough and at the beginning of the day appeared clean. However.. The changing rooms at 5 when we went for a shower where disgraceful. A couple of members of staff had a fall out and are apparently 2faced b's. (Yep thar was the language used by staff in front of customers) The treatment when we had ours were enjoyable but the rest of the day was a bit of a disappointment not really the relaxing pamper I was hoping for. Not worth the money we paid I actually feel very ripped off.. didn't complain again having tried to do that earlier and getting fobbed off it seemed a waste of breath. We will stick to doing our quarterly spa days elsewhere. Glad I tested waters and I didn't book our large hen party here.

Fantastic day

My experience at waterfall spa was better than expected after reading the reviews! I Cant understand why anybody would not enjoy this experience. I was greeted on arrival by a lovely lady called Victoria. I was offered a drink on arrival and shown round the spa. I had a fabulous day. I had a foot spa by Jade, this was done while I sat on a back and neck massage chair, it was lovely. I have already started planing another visit with some girlfriends, I'm more than sure we will not be disappointed. Can't wait to return!

Never again

Booked here for a hen party weekend in Leeds, we arrived around 1.40pm and as soon as we got to reception were informed our booking was for earlier. We had confirmed the appointments earlier that week as we had a party of 10 and wanted to make other arrangements around the spa. Our first appointment was confirmed for 2pm but upon arrival we got told our first treatment was booked for 1.15!

One of the receptionists called the manager to find out what had happened but didn’t really get anywhere. We got told that one of us would not be able to have our treatment or we would have to wait an extra hour and half if we still wanted it. After 10 minutes at reception we finally got things sorted and they cancelled another appointment they had booked – letting yet another person down.

Not once did any of the staff apologise and they pretty much blamed us.
The spa area was very untidy, on one asked if we would like any drinks and we just got left to it. It was not relaxing at all with only 8 sun loungers and 5/6 spaces in the hydro pool we had to sit 3 per lounger.

I ask for a few glasses of prosecco at around 4pm to be told they had none left and they always run out around this time. Seems a bit obvious to me that if they always run out then order more in, we then asked for white wine again they only had 2 glasses left and with a party of 10 this wouldn’t have gone very far. At £80pp minimum spend you would expect them to have a fully stocked menu.

Very disappointed and I certainly won't be recommending this to anyone or returning.

Overpriced, Understaffed and in need of customer service training a good manager and defiantly one that works a Saturday.

Would not go again
Jul 2014
I was part of a hen party for my brother's fiancee so we had been looking forward to our pre-arranged spa afternoon. We arrived promptly before 2pm and as soon as we got to reception were informed our booking was for earlier (unlike our confirmed email!) The staff were quite dilitary in arranging what we had already booked and did so at the expense of shorter booked treatments. The spa area was very untidy and I personally had to fetch staff twice to get mud for the mud chamber! At £80 for 3 hours in the spa it was a disgrace. I certainly won't be recommending this to anyone and was very disappointed with my visit!!!

Disappointing
Jul 2014
Booked here for a girly weekend in Leeds. On arriving, the receptionist bluntly told us one of the girls' treatments hadn't been booked. When she tried to find out what happened she said it's because we'd not confirmed...yet two of the other appointments were there? She didn't apologise once and pretty much blamed us for not calling to confirm. A therapist was 'called' to get in early. She wasn't even in the same uniform. Walked in looking like a bit of a tramp and then gave the worst massage known to man. The mini facial I had was painful and the therapist kept pressing so hard into my temples. It was not relaxing at all. The hot towels to clean the products off, weren't done very gently at all. I go for regular Elemis oxygen facials and the lady who does that is so gentle and knows how to make me feel relaxed. We were then allowed in the relaxation pods. The receptionist came in to show other people round and rudely exclaimed that it was
A quiet area and made out we were talking too loud. Very disappointed and will not be going here again. The staff need customer service training and the receptionist needs to look at the clients and make them feel welcome. Bad, bad service. Visited on 19th July

A hidden gem
May 2014 • Friends
My friend and I visited the Spa yesterday for a pre-wedding pamper, which included us having some treatments in the adjoining Cream beauty rooms. The staff were all friendly and made us feel so welcome. We both agreed that the treatments were probably the best we had ever experienced at any spa (we had facials in the Spa, and a luxury manicure and luxury pedicure in Cream). The treatment beds were huge, more like a single bed, and I felt cosy and warm throughout the treatment. Loved the relaxation lounge bit - big round beds to relax on and they serve a nice coffee :)

Really don't understand some of the bad reviews, we could find nothing wrong. Will definitely be back!

Need more staff!

I came to this spa last week. My first impression was it looked well maintained as i approached reception but felt who looked like the manager was quite patronising. I was pretty disappointed when I had the tour it looked like it needed a new decor it looked not very well maintained as shown on the website images. I received a massage, the massage itself was good, but started off with cold hands which was not a good start. Through this treatment it was cold, sounded like air con was blowing on to me and the music was switching itself on and off which was not relaxing. I will not be visiting this spa again as it's been the worse by far and also looked short on staff.

Want a great spa day? Don't bother going here.

I was seriously unimpressed. I'd go as far as to say this is probably the worst 'spa' I have been to. Staff keep you hanging around & are really late starting treatments.
The rooms were so cold I had cramp in my toes. They only provide you with the small blow heaters. It took my therapist about 20 mins to find it after searching for a spare room (which was taken out of my treatment time).
Facials are poor and last way shorter than the treatment time.
I wasn't impressed.

Chilled out
Mar 2014
I went to Waterfall Spa last week for a chilled out girly day. I was not let down. It was great to unwind! Spa was very clean and modern and has a lovely relaxation area that I snuggled up in with my book. I felt comfortable and the staff made me feel very welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed myself!
