Clarence Dock makes for a pleasant walk, on both a crisp late winters day, such as this visit (providing you wrap up warm), or on a summers day when the weather is a bit warmer. The area is essentially Leeds' waterfront, though lacks the urban punch of Salford Quays, a comparable development near Manchester. There is a free water taxi... More

Fantastic place for photography. The light was amazing and this city centre landscape was so varied. Shame it is so quiet. In Leeds for family time and a party so didn't visit The Armouries. Wanted to be close to the city but not quite walking distance for us at night.

Been to this place twice to see Corbyn which was great and today for a conference on collaboration, innovation and Leeds which was mixed ... but the best part of the day was the free water taxi 👨🏻‍✈️ great service - even when they were down to one boat it was only 20 mins wait on the cold dockside. I've... More

The water taxi is free of charge and runs every 15 minutes over 12 hours a day. It even runs on the weekend from the railway bridge to the docks near the royal armouries. The views of the river are well worth taking in.

Clarence Dock is a beautiful place where you can take a free ride on one of the boats & enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the area river. The Clarence Dock area is a busy place full with restaurants, cafes & of course Leeds most beautiful monument The Armouries theatre . Enjoy. NK

This area has had its ups and downs. It's started out as Clarence Dock, then New Dock and now it's Leeds Dock. I've lived here for four years and when I first moved here not a lot was happening. Now we have a great water taxi which goes to the new east entrance of Leeds Station. They hold regular events... More

It sort of never got finished or that's how it feels. The armouries is worth a visit and the water taxi is a cool way of getting there and back and you will want to get back because unless there is an event happening there is very little to keep or entertain you. They do however offer some good events... More

A friend told me about the water taxi trip to the Royal Armouries so I decided to take my grandson for the ride on his day off school. We missed the boat to the Armouries and decided to walk. On the way back we again just missed the boat but the kind helmsman turned around and came back for us!... More

Clarence Dock needs something to attract interest but I dont know what. It has the potential to be a brilliant place. The architecture is terrific and is very much the sort of place I like. - not to everyones modern tastes. The Armories museum (See separate review) is here and is superb. The water taxi that starts/ends at or near... More
