Kirskstall Abbey is a lovely place to visit, especially in the Spring / Summer time. The main attraction is of course, the glorious Abbey ruins, steeped in history but also be sure to spend some time in the surrounding area and relax in the park or stroll along the river. The ruins are free to explore and the park is... More

A great afternoon out in the Easter sunshine, free car park across the road, the Abbey House museum is near the car park and has a nice cafe selling a selection of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and cakes, we resisted the temptation of cakes and had a cappuccino and tea, lovely coffee. The grounds around the Abbey are nice to wander... More

We didn't use the museum or tour inside but admired the building after closing time. We would, however, like to go back and explore fully as both the Abbey & Museum looked really interesting

The Abbey itself is very small and only take about 10 minutes to look around. However the park surrounding it is lovely, especially in the summer.

I've always been a fan of Kirkstall Abbey so was pleased to have the opportunity to visit during a recent trip to Leeds. The Abbey looked lovely in the spring sunshine surrounded by daffodils and trees coming into bloom. It's quite a popular attraction for both locals and visitors and was busy in the early afternoon, but became quieter as... More

I never tire of visiting Kirkstall Abbey. I come regularly and each time find something different to look at. It's such a beautiful place and much bigger and more interesting than Bolton Abbey. The fact that it's free and has free parking is great too. There is a small gift shop and visitor centre meaning you can spend many hours... More
