Lovely gallery in a beautiful old building, slightly tucked away but in the town centre. Good variety of exhibitions on when we visited photography and Virginia Woolf plus permanent collection The café in the courtyard is well worth a visit, as is the shop.

Took my two sons, 9 & 13, we were able to discuss different styles/preferences, and explore it all without overload. Cafe a bonus afterwards too.

For normal visit for the gallery which is permanently fixed with art, it’s free.. For limited special exhibitions if any arranged, then for that particular space to visit there will be a charge.
