Celebrated as the UK's favourite 20th century building, Coventry Cathedral is known all over the world as a beautiful and unique venue. Designed by architect Sir Basil Spence following the bombing of the city in 1940 it was opened in 1962, and contains some of the finest examples of 1950's and 60's art and architecture in the country.

The old part is free to see and good for taking some photos if the weather is right. You have to pay for some bits old & new.

well i was so dissapointed we could only get in to the old catherdal as the new part was closed for graduation every were you went there were grad students in the art gallery you couldn't get in any wereMore

Beautiful Cathedral opposite the remains of the old Cathedral and make a dramatic contrast. Plenty of eating and drinking places nearby.

I visited here with my family. It is a lovely place to learn a bit of history. My sister had her convocation in the halls so it has memories attached. We enjoyed out day out here.
