It is a long time since our last visit, the building is still beautiful and testament to good design. It is busy but still and filled with prayer. We stayed for evening prayer and went away energised by God’s Spirit.

The way that the "new" Cathedral has been built to look out at the old one that was bombed in WWII is moving. The art is very impressive. The Piper baptistry window is stunning and the clear glass front with the etched figures facing the...More

We loved the cathedral area; the old ruins were very well preserved, and blended well with the newer cathedral. It is also peaceful and pedestrianised. Coventry isn't the prettiest of cities generally, but this part is wondeful.

This just refers to the old cathedral as I’m afraid I’m not a believer so wasn’t willing to pay for the new cathedral. The destroyed old cathedral is very though provoking, focussing on reconciliation. Some of our modern politicians need to visit and think what...More

A really beautiful place dedicated to forgiveness and reconciliation--powerful messages in the face of such destruction. A great place to explain the impact of war to younger kids.

Very atmospheric modern cathedral with interesting and symbolic architecture. It adjoins the ruins of the medieval cathedral which was bombed in WW2. We attended an Easter Service with wonderful music and we were made very welcome. There is a tourist charge if not attending a...More

I love visiting cathedrals and this is one to be sure to see. Simultaneously magnificent and sobering. An architectural site while at the same time acting as a war memorial. Beautiful.

Walking through the ruins of the bombed Cathedral to the new Cathedral just takes you back to the horrors of World War 2. The new building is magnificent in every way from the beautifully carved seats near the altar to the baptismal font to the...More

Found our visit to Coventry Cathedral quite emotional. On a grey day it's quite beautifully haunting and a time to reflect. Worth a visit
