The Herbert is a neat little museum that deals in all manner of Coventriana. Directly opposite the cathedral, it supplements that story by telling the history of Coventry from its earliest days, and details how the prehistoric settlement evolved into a full fledged industrial center....More

I highly recommend visiting it. I like arts and this place offered some fine arts. It had a shining area and well. I liked the idea of hosting some work of world class artists like Picasso. Thank you for maintaining this gallery.

There is so much to see and do here. Look at the origins of computing by viewing a Jacquard Loom. View the history of Coventry through the ages. Learn about Lady Godiva. Kids enjoyed during the brass rubbings and dressing up.

The main part of the museum is a very good display of the history of Coventry with good descriptions of various eras of the city. Some audio visual displays give a better understanding of the exhibits.

I don't really know how they can call this an art museum, unless we missed the doors to let you in to the rest of it? One room of sculptures, one room of paintings and the rest all childrens activities? I am not really sure...More

With the gallery on our left, we took the second right turn and at the end of that road is an open air car park. 5 - 6 minutes walk back to the gallery.
