I love this place- we're so lucky to have it in Birmingham. Fabulous events, my favourite is trash film night. Also they do great late night screenings often with themed cocktails. Book a sofa. You get text waiter service so no need to queue at the bar!

'Creature from the black Lagoon' - original 3D showing - where else would you see this? Amazing cinema - especially on the sofas - the cocktails and nibbles make it a brilliant experience - great staff. Loved it!

Loved the feel of the place, not your average cinema experience, film was a bit rubbish but the place more than made up for it. Comfy seats and actually cheaper than the normal cinema! Very romantic apart from the guy on his own that came and sat right next to us, but we still had a great time.

The Art Deco environment is lovely but the sofas are not very comfortable. The staff & service was good. The one thing that blighted the experience are the grotty toilets. They are certainly reminiscent of times gone by & plumbing from a dark age! Took the shine off a romantic evening.

I thought this place was quirky and loved the fact that it is the oldest cinema in the U.K. The bar inside was cool and I liked the decor. The text waiter service looked like a good idea but we'd just eaten/drank elsewhere so didn't try it out this time. Only thing I wasn't really happy with was that we... More

The Electric is a great little cinema that was once hidden away in town, but since the changes made to New Street Station, is now far more obvious a place for people to find. While only a small cinema, with 2 screens, this cinema offers just as much as any of the main-line cinemas around the city. Usually getting a... More

Nicely styled cinema with two screens. Friendly Staff. Bar and you can take your drinks into the cinema. Comfortable seats. Screen on the small side. Great audio. Not too pricey.

Such a change from the big screen generic cinemas; great atmosphere, comfy seats, nice drinks and snacks to munch on...the humous and pitta bread is fantastic!

As cinemas used to be. Nice to be able to have a beer whilst watching a film. Decor lovely - plenty of seats, to chose from for the viewing we went too- they're pretty uncomfortable though tbh. Screen /sound all ok. A decent night out and a pleasant change from the multiplex places.
