Sunday Afternoon walk was very quiet, not too much people. some squirrels will make you smile in this Autumn. However I have read that some criminals are stalking some areas. I was alone, and was okey, few people walking and also few people in the...More

Surprisingly undulating in parts as this is an old railway line - probably contributed to it's closure ! 😆 A tarmac path which would not be my favoured route after dark (other posts refer), as a mid day stroll or cycle it fits the bill.

I was at the bustop right near this walkway and my phone was robbed off me. This is a walkway with lots of shady people and homeless addicts. Please avoid at all costs for your safety. I am lucky to have escaped physically unharmed and...More

Walking from Summerfield Park to Harborne via this disused railway line you can easily forget that you are just a few miles from Birmingham's City Centre as in the summer you walk under a canopy of trees . The pathway has been surfaced so it...More

There are some very pretty parts of this walk that can take you to Harborne High Street at one end and Summerfield Park at the other, and the Harborne end is beautiful in the summer. The actual path is flat and well drained and maintained....More

This is a great urban pathway for running in the city away from cars and off the road. You don't cross any traffic for nearly three miles, something that's difficult to find in Brum. Bit isolated as has been mentioned, but close enough to all...More

This walkway follows the route of an old railway. Although it runs through the centre of town, the cutting and the thickness of undergrowth gives a pleasant countryside feel remote from the surrounding houses (spoilt only by litter), however the path itself is smooth and...More

A really nice walk through the woods. Lots of flowers etc, and the path is smooth and well-maintained. The only downside is that some dog owners let their dogs foul and don't pick it up.
