In 1988 Charles, our monarch’s first son, said he was “terribly demoralized” when he saw the plans for the Birmingham International Convention Centre. His comment did not make any difference because he was wrong. From the outside it probably doesn’t win any awards, but inside it is magnificent. The atrium is a walkway between Centenary Square and the canalside at... More

Excellent venue, very big loads of people to help direct you. Huge crowds holds lots of different shows/performers. Right in the centre of Broad St so great for eating/drinking before or after shows. Right near to the canals.

Built back in the 1980's, it is very much a product of its time. Whilst it is both a conference venue and home to the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the lighting needs updating and the general "busy" visual feel of the internal street needs toning down, to bring this venue into the Twenty first century. Otherwise its a great short cut... More

Went to see concert by London Concert Orchestra and singers which was absolutely delightful, full of brilliant music and so much energy from the singers. Everyone dancing in the Aisles.

The ICC is OK for conferences, nothing special or out of the ordinary - although do like coming here as I like the city & the people there

I attended a works conference at the ICC and was impressed with the venue. The theatre style rooms were vast whilst the dinner served was second to none for a conference on the scale of that which I attended.

The ICC is centrally located just off Bridge Street. The venue is huge and attached to Symphony Hall and the Hyatt Regency by a covered walkway. There are a few shops and a cafe in the ICC.

Briefly called into the International Convention Centre on 16/08/16 while holidaying in Central Birmingham for 5 nights. The ICC is very large with its modern spacious interior, only walked through briefly & noticed a good gift shop, also situated in a good location attracting many visitors to the area especially along the old waterway canals. Worth a visit for all... More
