We went to the museum & art gallery to see this free exhibition. It was easy to find, following the signs and arrows. What a fine space. Good warning signage. Broad types of exhibits. Shows a wide spectrum of women's art. A very thought provoking...More

Excellent variety of art, modern and old, in large building also well presented in many different rooms. Some of the exhibitions will change every few months, so always something new to see. Edwardian cafe serves refreshments and good lunches. Usually something to interest children. Several...More

Always a good day out whether seeing mummies, dinosaurs or art. My 7 year old always has many questions, he was particularly interested in the lucifer statue this time. The staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to answer questions.

Look out for a well known ABBA song title in the background of one painting. a good way to get young people focused. TIP - take a magnifying glass with you, great for seeing intricate brushwork.

We took our Granddaughter to see Dippy the dinosaur. We have been before to this museum, and always enjoyed our visits. Lots to see, and interactive areas for children. Free entry. Well worth a visit.

There are a number of car parks quite close, the nearest is the multi storey on Cambridge Street, less than 5 minutes walk away. It is quite expensive during the day. We use the train as it's cheaper.

I'm not very disabled but I have difficulty walking and I found the museum very disabled friendly. The lifts are good and there's masses of space for wheelchairs
