Even allowing for an October visit we thought that these gardens were disappointing. Go see for yourself if you have time..

Lovingly kept restored Victorian hedged gardens. Really informative commentary prior to entering. I never knew there were so many different apple trees. Well worth a visit.

Always interesting and peaceful, this historic garden gives a real flavour of times past in recreational gardening and presumably serious food production

A peaceful spot in the centre of Warwick that is worth a visit if you like gardens. The apple trees were laden waiting for October’s apple day.

Due to the recent weather condition (very hot and dry) the gardens are not at their best at the moment but there are still gems to be found. There is a fig tree which looks as if it is going to produce a lot of...More

The gardens were really unkempt and dried up. Yes there has been no rain for some time but there were plenty of taps. Our guide was new to the job but simply read from a booklet. She knew no plant names. The restored summer houses...More

Hi Jenny, thank you for your review. In line with responsible gardeners, we limit watering to the nursery plants, the National Collection of Border chrysanthemums, vegetables and rare plants. We do not water the lawns.

These gardens are nicely preserved with their original character unspoilt, It was a pleasure to wander around on a hot summer's day and enjoy seeing all the old-fashioned cottage garden plants and the home-grown vegetables which my mother and grandparents would have grown. There was...More

We enjoyed wandering around the individual gardens reading the heritage notes and looking at the various restoration photographs...fascinating. The gardens themselves are contrasting. Some pristine yet others a bit neglected. Some concentrating on vegetables, others full of colourful flowers and foliage. The plants for sale...More
