The Attic Theatre is the No.1 fringe theatre in Stratford upon Avon and home to award-winning 'Tread the Boards' Theatre Company. In 2016 we begin the year with Romeo & Juliet, the only Shakespearean play being performed in Stratford during the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. First established in 2009 by Tread the Boards, an award winning theatre Company. This unique, riverside theatre is located in the heart of Shakespeares' birth town. This unique space is housed in a Grade 2 listed 15th century building and seats just 89 people. This makes for a very personal and intimate theatrical experience.

A brilliant adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic - even the scene changes were entertaining. Congratulations to the small cast for putting on a great show.

A wonderful portrayal of Jane Austin's Pride and prejudice. The cast were obviously thoroughly enjoying playing these great characters. The scene changes were performed in character suggesting the merry dance people play in everyday social interactions! You will not be disappointed, it is a fantastic...More

Absolutely brilliant! A very strong cast with some excellent charactorisation. The odious Mr Collins was truly odious! It was wonderful to be so close to the performance. I loved the way the actors stayed in character whilst moving the furniture so slickly between scenes. I...More

Wonderful production of Pride & Prejudice. Congratulations to the amazing cast and superb director. Great comic timing of set changes to bring about continuity. Set in the intimate surroundings of the Attic Theatre at Cox's Yard.

We went to see pride and prejudice. It was wonderful performance and on talking to staff; we have reason to believe all the performances will be equal in quality. We will be going again when we come to Stratford.

Really enjoyed last night’s performance of Pride and Prejudice. Visited with two 11 year olds - their first intro to Jane Austen - and they loved it too. A great little theatre, cracking value for money. Keep up the good work and we will visit...More

Hi Shaun, we are running two plays side by side at the moment so on Saturday 16th at 2:30 pm we have Bronte and at 7:30 pm we have Wuthering Heights. Hope one, or both of these appeals to you/your group.
