For £7.95 per adult you get a wonderful experience at the Butterfly Farm! We walked around twice as well! It's absolutely magical, the staff are lovely and it's very informative. I would definitely recommend this place for an afternoon mooch around, with an ice cream to follow.
Be prepared, though, it's very warm in there!

Lovely place! We went with our 9 year old son and he loved it! Plenty of butterflies which if you’re lucky (we were) they land on you! Obviously very warm inside so don’t wear a thick coat! Quite a short walk inside but you can go at your own pace within reason. Lovely little shop inside too. Definitely worth a visit at least once.

We came to Stratford especially for the butterfly farm because my 4 year old daughter absolutely loves them, we were not disappointed! We had a fantastic time with lots of species of butterfly, flying really close and landing on us it was a lovely experience and my daughter had an amazing time. She enjoyed all of it, she loved that there was other animals too like the ants, snake and tarantula! We saw the iguanas one of which walked right up to us which my daughter thought was a dinosaur and I had to pick her up, but once she wasn’t on the floor she was more than happy to wave at him and say bye as he walked away 🤣 overall a wonderful experience with great staff too, we saw a lot, really enjoyed it, and learnt a lot too.

Plenty of butterflies and nice but short walkabout once inside. Could do with a coffee shop that viewed the butterfly area.

Lots of information and nicely done. Impressively laid out and friendly staff.
45 minutes is probably about right.

The Butterfly Farm is essentially a warm greenhouse filled with tropical plants, butterflies, a pond full of carps and two iguana's. But it was actually more fun than it sounds. Even out teenagers enjoyed it.
Lot's of butterflies flying around your head and you trying to catch them on camera. Looking for different species. A constant search for the iguana's. Feeding the carps. And learning a bit more about butterflies along the way.
It was an enjoyable hour or so out of the hussle and bussle of the city. I can imagine you would visit more often if you live local or have smaller kids.

This place is an absolute gem with beauty everywhere. A huge variety of different butterflies as well as iguanas and tarantulas (they are behind a screen, don’t worry!)
For the entry price I would have quite happily paid double.
Lovely little shop and only just over the river from the Swan theatre.
For god’s sake don’t forget to take a camera!

Absolutely loved visiting the Butterfly farm. Could’ve spent hours there! We chose to visit in the late afternoon so it was relatively quiet, which was nice. Fascinating to see hundred of beautiful butterflies in one place, a long with a few cute little birds and even a bearded dragon (or a similar reptile). Was heartbreaking to see children running around trying to pick the butterflies up and a few broken wings 😩 Perhaps they could employ more staff to monitor this? Other than that the place is very lovely.

The scenery and butterflies were gorgeous and there were lots of other creatures to see as well. It was very hot and humid inside of course, but just to let people know beforehand. It was very busy and took a while to walk around as we were waiting behind other groups. Might be an idea to let less people inside at once.

We spent a couple of hours plus but there’s no time restraints. Just relax and look at the wonderful colours and the newly emerged butterflies drying out and feeding on the fruit. Brilliant!
