Pre-booked by my holiday tour operator as part of my Hadrian's Wall path walk. Bedroom was rather plain and dated. Bathroom not that clean. Shower temperature control not working and TV signal patchy. Staff very friendly but The Lodge has seen better days. Garden overgrown....More

I came here with daughter's and my husband for lunch. You have to wait to be seated and we stood there waiting while members of staff just walked past us and didn't attend to us. Once we eventually got seated I ordered mince and dumplings,...More

Plenty of outdoor seating. Good food and drink choices. It's fairly expensive but not extortionate. Staff are friendly. The pub is very dog friendly, normally about 20 dogs chilling outside.
