Awful atmosphere
Apr 2019 • Friends
I love the pets corner but I really don’t think it should be so open to the public (especially for free) as today when I went there were groups of unsupervised children literally SCREAMING at the animals and jumping in the enclosures to ‘pet them’ there was one staff member and she was absolutely lovely and stopped them from jumping in the enclosures pretty much straight after I told her however I think there should be a staff member or two to supervise the animals at all times especially on weekends.

To summarise; The atmosphere was absolutely awful with kids running around unsupervised, screaming at animals, being mouthy to visitors and there was a generally low staff presence for how open the enclosures and pens are. Wouldn’t go back on a weekend or during non term time. Kids are awful.

Lovely place for young kids
Apr 2019 • Family
The young ones love this place and it is clean and tidy. Dogs must be kept on a lead - but you always get the odd owner who cannot read English or blatantly ignore the rules!!! Staff friendly and helpful.

Good Distraction.

It’s small but it’s free and well kept. It won’t keep you occupied for hours and the animals can’t be bothered with you, however if you’re out for a walk that way, it’s worth a look.

Wonderful place to spend a day
Jan 2019
More options than an all you can eat Buffet! Beautiful walks, views, play parks, waterfalls, ruins, st Mary’s chapel, ponds lakes & streams. But to top it all off pets corner is a wonderful little stop off. Our 1year old was amazed, this sanctuary clearly has the animals at heart, a donation is welcomed but not forced, and although pricey both the gift shop and cafe deliver as expected. A well prepared picnic and 4-5 hours with kids could be gone in a flash. To have this on our doorstep makes me feel very lucky

Great place, free family fun would like to see more animals
Dec 2017 • Couples
There are quite a few farm animals to see and some lovely birds, peacocks, budgies and parakeets as well as different hens. You can buy feed for the goats who are always munching! There are some small pets also such as rabbits as I recall. Very nice place and free I always enjoy it very much and have an icecream from the val after :)
