This is a good museum to visit on a rainy day as we did. It is however geared towards children. There are better museums however as this is free i can't complain

If you are in Newcastle, with or without kids, and you have the slightest interest in engineering, do not miss out on this museum, worth the effort alone just to see Turbinia, the worlds first turbine driven boat...fantastic..and free!
