Damp but lovely
Nov 2020
Visited for the first time with the grandchildren on Saturday, was impressed with all aspects of the Dene, lots to see & do & plenty of paths and off the beaten track trails, the boys loved it. The mill wheel and waterfall were lovely as was the small boating lake, it could do with a couple more strategically placed bins like beside the picnic area & next to the playground beside the lake as I was disappointed with the amount of rubbish lying around! It was incredibly busy today with lots of dog walkers & runners alike it must be a hive of activity in the summer months.

Several great running routes
Nov 2020
A good area for running - wide and clearly marked paths (plus toilets!). Parking available. The main entrances have maps showing the key sites. The park includes "Pets Corner" which is free to enter and worth a stroll through.

Great walks for city location.
Aug 2020 • Family
Fantastic walks for the location so close to the city centre (20 minutes). There are lots of fully tarmaced paths all over the area with access to the old mill and the waterfall. Also the pets corner is reopening slowly, fantastic value for only a small donation.

Nestled away just outside the City Centre, Jesmond Dene is a great place to visit with the family or for a chilled walk. Kids will love exploring the woods, pets corner and the play area. Plenty of space for picnics as well!
