This is a great place to visit with beutifull scenary and lovely walks. There is a big lake and woodland area which is nice to walk to and a great chance to spot wildlife. As well as the usual geese and ducks we spotted a stag which was amazing. There is a cafe which has a good range of food... More

You wouldn't think there was a lovely nature reserve here but its a great place. There's a big lake with lots of wildlife and we even spotted a deer which was pretty amazing. It's a big place you can walk around as well. Plus there's a farm where you can meet donkeys and miniature ponies. Plus a falconry where you... More

I've also used the centre's meeting room facilities and recently enjoyed the food on offer in the cafe. There's lots more to see and so however, and... More

I absolutely love this place. Been here many times with friends walking dogs, and in the winter we even went snowboarding here. There is a lovely little café too, perfect place to spend a few hours.

My wife and I had a walk through the Rising Sun Country Park on a mild February day. There are lots of walking trails which are well signposted. The park is built on the old Rising Sun pit and the view from the Rising Sun hill across Tyneside is quite spectacular. There is a nice café and we sat on... More

A wonderful place that will calm you from a busy day. Long walks for one or a whole family, easy accessible from different entrances either from Benton Road next to Asda(2 entrances) or from Battle hill. Great place for a walk, run, cycling or just to find a spot for a great picnic for the whole family. There is a... More

Took the dogs and my camera, stunning place, highly recommended. This was my first visit although it's only 10 mins from where I live. Will be visiting many more times to explore the whole park.
