Sunday Morning after Saturday Wedding Reception

Visited quayside 23rd October. Plenty of foodstalls catering for all tastes, along with local arts and crafts. Worth a look but items could be found cheaper elsewhere.

We read some good reviews about the Sunday market so decided to venture down to the quays to have a look during a weekend stay in Newcastle. There were some quality craft stalls and some very good street food stalls but these were interspersed with market stalls selling utter tat. It was extremely busy and at times very claustrophobic so... More

Great morning wandering around the Quayside market, some really good food stands, notably the toasted sandwiches and the ragout of pork with macaroni cheese served in edible dishes. Loved.

Happened to be in Newcastle on a Sunday and wanted to see the river. The market had typical food stalls and was selling inexpensive merchandise, typical stuff. The only excitement was the half marathon which brought more people to town. Even saw the Red Arrows (RAF equivalent of the Blue Angels) do a flyby. The market maybe ordinary, but the... More

Haven't been here for years but had a trip today with my dog in the sunshine. Lotzx of stalls, many food orientated but amongst the burgers and chips were a handful of exceptionally nice and unique traders including the Northumberland Sausage Company and a guy doing flavoured pease puddings (the cheese and pickle is delicious). We were also there in... More

We were in town on a cruise ship visit and stumbled upon this great market down near the river. Plenty of stalls and vendors. It stretched for quite a distance along the waterfront. We picked up several items. Nice way to spend some time if in the area.

Haven't visited here in over 20 years! Like how the market has changed with the times. Newcastle is very good at regenerating and being able to maintain the tradition of a Sunday market on the Quay whilst ensuring it meets with a more modern expectation is genius. Makes for a pleasant meander. Lots of food stalls. Local produce for sale... More

Arrived 9.30am ish and parked quite easily under the high level bridge. Lived here all our lives but this was our first visit and we're hoping for greater things. We were surprised to find that most of the stalls served street food, coffee etc and the rest was a mixture of arts and crafts and traditional market tat. However the... More

Variety of different stalls, plenty of different food stalls but also reasonable jewellery stalls. Especially liked the free offers of different sausages.

Plenty of places to eat and drink with all types of street food from around the world. There is something for everybody and with the street buskers, and the... More
