A really good Sunday market. Well laid out with some really interesting and different stalls with a good quality choice of food, manufactured goods and gifts. A nice location along the Tyne quayside. A lot better than the Christmas market in the city centre!

Spent a couple of hours here on Sunday morning and what a choice of stalls. Some lovely food stalls but the handmade stalls were fabulous and we bought quite a few unusual Christmas presents for family Also what a fabulous back drop and lovely atmosphere. We are from Manchester and we loved it …

Very good, lots of stalls mainly food stalls with a few others. Great location, some stalls are a little pricey but overall a good thing to do.

Used to be a regular visitor to the market in the late eighties and early nineties but must admit I have not been for many a year. I decided to make a visit two or three weeks ago, much to my disappointment the character of the market has disappeared along with the characters that ran the stalls. They gave the market its identity, now it is the same as any generic market, no individuality, crafty type things on offer, leather work stalls and the rest is just a glorified outdoor cafe. Give it a miss, it's boring!!…
