Though this was a free attraction in the middle of Guildford High Street it was rather disappointing. Not much to see and smelled rather musty. Appeared to be staffed by volunteers, friendly and helpful. Wouldn't recommend this place.

The signs for it are on the high street but this 11th century wine shop is actually under the high street. Some period architecture and lots of information points describing all the displays inside this amazing cellar. Open wednesdays 2pm-4pm and Saturday afternoons.

This is a secret find in Guildford. It is only open summer Saturdays and Wednesday afternoons and is barely known by the residents of the town. Hidden in the middle of North Street, this is a genuine undercroft - a medieval shop selling top quality...More

A most unexpected historical place to find in the high street, thought to have been built in the 11th century as a wine shop. Well worth a visit, and is free entry!

Came across this by accident as it is not always opened (being run by volunteers) right in the high street this croft is very small but very atmospheric and one of the few left in Guildford. Not worth a special trip however, if you are...More

Only open at limited times and staffed by knowledgeable volunteers if you are able to find time it is very interesting and right on the High Street.
