We were amazed at the fantastic medieval buildings that still remain. Ranging from the massive and impressive down to tiny crooked and tilting constructions that are still standing. No telephone wires are on show, free parking or leave a gratuity and decent public toilets. We are planning to stay here for a couple of days in the future as our... More

A beautiful building in the centre of Lavenham. Full of historical information about Lavenham and the people who lived and worked here. Very well presented with intriguing artifacts and stories spanning the years. Well worth a visit!

Set in the midst of historic Lavenham, this amazing museum/history of historic Lavenham should be a must for a visit to this delightful area of Suffolk. We spent some time here chatting with a very helpful Guide who gave us much background to Lavenham telling us that it was once one of the wealthiest towns in England due to its wool trade

Quite an large building which from the outside looks as though it has a lot to offer but the rooms feel empty. Maybe because its use is for educating large groups of people. Lavenham is a lovely place to visit with the timber frame Guildhal located in the marketplace,the guides were very informative with plenty of tales to tell. Would recommend.
