I really like visiting the food hall and the antiques centre. Parking is usually ok and unless there is a vintage or special event on - its not too crowded.

Newson Garrett built it in the mid-19th century, the 832-seat Concert Hall began life as a malthouse. Officially opened in 1967 by HM Queen Elizabeth II. Surrounded by art and antique outlets including a pub for meals it can be a good day out.

I came expecting a great music place and it was BUT I also found fascinating very unusual collection of shops : clothes, old things, craft things, kitchen stuff all in large volume and professionally there in the scattered renovated industrial buildings. An extraordinary place. Well done. Lots of eating places but we did not need to use them.

This was a surprise outing organised by my partner who wanted to see the starlings. There weren't as many as he hoped for but it was a lovely sight. Had a mooch around the outlets and a lovely lunch in the very popular, accommodating pub.

We didn't get to see a concert, but explored all the shops, and walked around the area. The gift shops are excellent, and we came back to California with some super items. A nice morning out! Wish we could have had a peek inside the concert hall though! They were a bit "snippy" when I asked!

Returned after several years;not as charming as previously;very busy in restaurant and service wasn,t particularly friendly or helpful. In danger of becoming just another tourist trap which would be a pity as it still has the potential to be a top class venue.

The show was stunning, superb atmospheric effects simply created certainly set the scene for the musical story of the ‘ Snow Queen’ the cast/ players age range was vast with the tiny ones providing a lot of the applause the energy they all put in to the dancing was a sight to see from start to finish.& the singing was... We came here to see the Snow Queen and what a great day we had! The show was fantastic and we were so impressed with the cast and the energy they put in from start to finish. Snape Maltings itself is set amongst wonderful marshlands which make it such a beautiful setting. The shops on site are full of little... More
