What a gem, the stalls in the market square had so much variety of things to see and buy. We bought a South African gin, what a find. Vegetables were fantastic, shame we were on holiday would of loved to have taken some home

An important feature of a visit to Wells. It was lovely to walk among the stalls, listening to the town crier & enjoying what seemed like going back in time. Great local produce, local crafts people’s work, appetising smells, just a super experience.

We heard about this market and wanted to see for ourselves. Nice variety of stalls and some good prices. Local produce very impressive. Traffic free so very easy and safe to get around, and the bonus is the Cathedral and all associated attractions so close....More

This is a beautiful place to relax & enjoy the historic buildings of this wonderful little city. It has a variety of interesting shops but hasn’t lost its medieval charm!

We did not visit the market place until after 4p.m. and it was obvious that shops were closing at that time. I appreciate that shop workers need down time but with the large number of visitors to the city I would have thought that late...More

Every Wednesday and Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm although some fresh food stalls start closing about 1:00pm. Parking is at a premium on market days.
