Even though discovered in a vandalised state, the medieval reredos heading the north and south aisles is worth going to see. A project is ongoing to restore these structures. Other gems include wonderful stained glass, a gorgeous ceiling and a plaque commemorating King Charles II....More

Plenty of people in when I went preparing for the remembrance services. A coffee shop doing good business, a very relaxed and welcoming place. I love the way they have added a kitchen and an office into the interior, separate from the building but stylistically...More

Didn't go inside but a lovely church and grounds to walk round, nicely out of the way of the town centre by a couple of minutes walk, to have a quiet sit down.

Look out for the painted wooden ceiling! If you are a fan of the film "Hot Fuzz" you will recognise this as the setting for Sandford's village fete and the demise of Tim Messenger.

I have been to Wells several times but this visit was to visit locations used in the Film "Hot Fuzz". I had not been to the church before but found it a beautiful & understated church. So peaceful and quiet yet so full of history.
