Today we struggle with rough sleepers and the poor but monks, nuns and churches created arms houses to help the poor and homeless. Gave them a leg up. Followed the teaching of their religion. That's what my visit stirred in me. Sadness and welcoming the care...More

Beautiful historic chapel that had the good fortune of not being destroyed during the dissolution of the Abbey across the street. A lovely place to spend some reflective or contemplative time. No entrance fee. Would return here again.

Slip away down the tiny alleyway off Magdalene Street and find a sweet little haven of peace and history; the chapel is exquisite, the alms houses fascinating and the garden has clearly been planted with love and attention. Deeply lovely.

A beautiful spot, away from the hustle and bustle to meditate. Such tranquillity. Some fascinating artworks.

Visited as part of a tour, interesting place with a lot of history. A place of contemplation so you have to be pretty quiet walking round as there were people mediating. A small shop that nick nacks.

We didn't realise where we were until we recognised the Alm House from a picture in a travel brochure. A bit hard to find but well worth visiting. The chapel is a Haven of peace.
