Beautiful Yarn Market
Jun 2021
What a beautiful village is Dunster! We walked around for quite a while, admiring the wonderful Mediaeval architecture and especially the 17th Century Yarn Market where cloth trading was carried out in days of yore! Kids love the Yarn Market, running in and out of its octagonal structure. Absolutely gorgeous place! We love it!

Excellent historical building

You can't miss the yarn market on the high street in Dunster. It is in very good condition considering how many years it has stood there. An information board inside tells what it was used for.

Monument to Dunsters economic past
Sep 2020
Well preserved and attractive structure adding atmosphere to the already attractive High Street. Useful information board could be extended to give more context. Unintended consequence is to give shelter in the event of a passing shower!

Definitely worth a few minutes pause

Don’t pass this by if you are in the High Street. Take a few minutes out to look at the structure and read the history. These old buildings from our past are rare now and give fascinating glimpses into our history.

Part of the village history.

Worth a look round this very old historic place. Great to see it's still in good condition and a popular attraction in the village.

Medieval little market shelter
Sep 2020
This is a historical and cute little covered market in the middle of Dunster village. There is an information panel inside it.

Eye-catching structure
Sep 2020
You can't fail to admire the very impressive timber-framed octagonal yarn market, dating back to the 17th century. A Grade I listed building, it's the centre piece of this delightful little town.

Too brief a visit
Aug 2020
Unfortunately spent too short a time in the Yarn Market but will read up about it before visiting again, which we certainly will do. Loved browsing the shops around there except the Medieval Centre which is rubbish, don't waste your time, which I'd spent more time in the Yarn Market and not in the Medieval Centre
