Lots of shops and restaurants. The Abbey and the ancient Roman baths are close by. Be prepared to spend 3-4 hours.

.. in an architect's paradise. The distinct stone that is all around in these fabulous buildings which house many trendy shops is itself noteworthy. The abbey is just off this street and blends in perfectly. We spent an hour or so mooching around.

Bath has a wide variety of shops to suit all tastes. If you veer off the main high street you will come across many hidden gems, lovely little side streets full of character. There are numerous beautiful buildings, the abbey is stunning and well worth seeing. It gets very busy in the summertime but that only adds to the atmosphere.... More

Inherently if you walk round Bath and visit the adjacent Roman Baths you will walk down one of the many streets that lead to the central area. As you would expect, the high street chains et al have now occupied the majority of the premises, however the architecture has to be experienced.

Bath Street is full of big brands, cafe shops, local street shops for food, clothing, gift items, paintings, canvas art and many more... One can spend the time there very well.

Excellent Park and Ride. Went on a Saturday and it was really busy. I didn't like it at all. Kept getting pushed through the streets and at the crowded stalls. Could not find anything I wanted to buy for Xmas. Did have a nice mulled cider at one of the stalls.

Thank John L
