Komedia Bath operates in the beautiful former Beau Nash picture house, a grade one listed building on Westgate Street. Since opening in 2008 it has become an important element of the arts quarter in Bath and presents a large and diverse programme focused on comedy and music, and extending to cabaret, spoken word and kids events. Cornerstones of the programme include the all conquering Saturday night Krater Comedy Club, and the bi-monthly Ministry of Burlesque’s Twisted Cabaret. The venue has become a feature on the comedy touring circuit, hosting acts such as Russell Howard, Ross Noble, Jenny Eclair, The Boy With Tape on His Face and many others. Music shows have constantly increased in profile since opening with a wide range of genres attracted to the Komedia Bath including The Feeling, Kate Nash, Ronnie Size, Lulu, The Levellers, Ash, Bellowhead, Clare Teal, Candi Staton, Noah and the Whale, Dry the River, Fink, Frank Turner and Chase & Status. The venue boasts a 615 standing capacity and a 427 cabaret seated capacity which includes a balcony seating 173 people. Komedia Bath also operates a daytime Arts Cafe, offering the only menus in Bath that are accredited to the Soil Association Gold Standard. Great live music venue that you can actually dance in

A little annoying having to always queue outside - does remind me of what it was like in the 70's! Once inside this converted cinema offers a great space to watch a live act. You can stand right up against the stage area and there are two raised areas next to the well stocked bar. Try the Bath Ale -... More

This is a review of the venue and not of the act we saw. Komedia used to be a cinema. It is still set out as such with a standing hall downstairs and an upper, seated balcony. It is a bit run down but this gives the venue a certain charm. The staff on duty were very helpful and polite.... More

I visited Komedia Bath in December to see Welsh choral group Only Men Aloud on their Christmas tour. The venue is usually used as a comedy club and although the unreserved tickets said seating would be in rows it actually turned out to be set out in tables and actually this worked very well as I was able to sit... I went for a Christmas business event. Pleasant enough evening, though I think they struggled to cope with the numbers. The comedy act was ok ..(enjoyable enough, but rather average). Food pretty good, just a massive wait between courses. Bar staff fast, efficient and friendly, as you would expect. I'd recommend location - I do like old musical hall/club venues... More

Had a great time at our firms Christmas meal. Food was ok, comedy was great followed by Motorcity. Great way to spend your office party. Would go again.

I can't believe we haven't visited this venue before! From the outside you think it's going to be a standard box room but once inside you are transported into a old grand theatre, which has been well preserved. Came to a burlesque night as part of a Christmas party and will definitely come back again. We went to a mid... More

I love coming here after a few drinks in town, such a fun place to have a dance and finish of a evening. Classic cheesy music / disco

We had an evening booked here for watching comedy and a main meal included in the price, the comedy was absolutely brilliant and had us all laughing a lot. The food was ok; there were 4 of us we had a mixture of things and they were nice; burger, mince dish and vegetable curry, everyone thought their food was nice,... More
