Bath is a 90 minute drive from us (no direct rail link), so we do not visit the city that often. However, we find we are visiting more regularly, each time including a delicious meal in one of the many excellent restaurants and bistros within a 5 minute walk of THE THEATRE ROYAL. By setting off earlier, there is time... More

This is a lovely old theatre with boxes and Dress Circle etc. quite similar to The Everyman, in Cheltenham. We booked the last four seats available in the Dress Circle which had restricted legroom and restricted... More

Came to see the show today, excellent as always. Sat in the luxury circle which had a very good view. Actors were brilliant, never disappointed with shows here. Faculties are good, prices as expected for this type of venue.

Read all reviews before visiting, quite frankly can't really understand them, we all found it slow, never really seemed to get going, and both children were bored. Definitely lacked atmosphere, have seen much better. However, venue is absolutely lovely

The rows of seats in the small auditorium at the Ustinov Studio have entry from one end and the other end is up against a wall. We sat literally squashed against the wall as the people in the next seats took up more than their fair share of the bench - no arm rests or other divisions. It did make... More

We were in Bath this past fall and one of the highlights of our visit was seeing a play at the Theatre Royal Bath. The lovely Georgian building was erected in 1805, opened with a performance of Shakespeare's 'Richard the Third', land was graced by many of the world's most famous actors, such as Edmund Keane, Sarah Bernhardt, John Gielgud,...
