Wonderful and extensive collection of beautiful works of art. The curator for the main/free exhibit was incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the works contained. Well worth a visit for any fans of art and art history.

It's free and so why not. Small collection of paintings and ceramics mainly, and worth a visit of 20-30 min. The introduction and explainations on the boards are helpful.

A great collection that is easy to miss but juts by Pulteney Bridge. Also an exhibition space but the core collection is a delight

We didn't have time to see the main exhibition but walked around the main rooms which are always interesting and your eye always catches something you haven't seen before.

I know there are exhibitions that change frequently, and these are for paying visitors, but the main exhibition is free. The rooms are cramped and not well presented. The paintings are not shown to best effect. I've seen better displays in country houses, and this...More

A very nice building housing excellent exhibitions and easy to reach in town. Make sure you appreciate the architecture as well as the artwork.

We had a saver ticket which got us into 3 attractions including this. It was smaller than we were expecting, though it was an interesting space with good history and a coherent order to view the art. Definitely worth a quick visit. It has toilets...More

The gallery is a few steps further from the crowded centre, and I thought it will be bigger. It is quiet small, but with a nice little collection of art. It worth to have a look around and relax for an hour or so. Upstairs...More

A great, free council run gallery with one room with some excellent Gainsborough's. Most of the paintings have been donated by locals.

This is a small, but interesting collection. Good for half an hour, but it is basically one gallery and a ticketed collection.
