This is a lovely place with a lot of interesting features. The best of these is the misericords - well worth taking the time to look at each one. There are also concerts here, but we didn't attend one.

Called the cathedral of the Marches, St Lawrence's is a masterpiece of a church. The tower is visible from miles around, and the external architecture is superb, whilst the interior has style and gives the traveler an insight into its history

I live in Ludlow and I am a practicing Christian but even if youre of a different faith or, no faith at all, I recommend anyone to visit this beautiful church. Steeped in history. A little bit of heaven on earth.

I know I am prejudiced, as I live only 100yds from this wonder church. Listening to the bells and the wonderful view from the tower makes me have goosebumps. It is a magical experience.

Really enjoyed going up the tower. 200 steps. Very narrow and constantly going around on itself all the way up. There is a vertical rope all the way up to hold onto to make you feel a bit more secure. Good views up the top....More

Lovely, well-maintained church with a high tower. Tower is a strenuous 201 steps up a narrow, spiral stone staircase. Excellent views from top which is significantly higher than the castle. Right in the centre of Ludlow.

Delightful church, lovely stained glass, and the Bell Tower visit was memorable. Narrow and tight, not everyone's 'cup of tea', but with the chance to catch your breath at the level of the bell ringers' platform, then at the bells themselves, it was quite manageable....More

A beautiful church, well worth a visit. A climb up to the top of the tower costs about £2 and is well worth it. The views are wonderful especially on a sunny day
