A bit of imagination will transport you into the Middle Ages in this fine example of fortification. A brilliant food festival in September each year sees us returning again and again

We visited the castle with our 3yo girl and 1yo golden retriever. Lovely to walk around the grounds (can go anywhere with the two of them) and ended up with a tea and slice of cake in the terrace garden area. Perfect! Highly recommended.
