We had a lovely day the Bliss Hill Victorian town! The exhibits were amazing, and the staff were great answering any questions we had. We converted £10 into old money at the bank and we bought some fruit cakes & bread from the bakery and kept the change as a little monento of the day! We had a hot drink... More

We loved every minute of our visit, changed money in the bank, visited all the shops. Learned lots about home life and industrial life of the time, the ladies in the toll house and the squatters cottage were particularly enlightening but by far my favourite was chatting to the puddler in the iron works, what a lovely chap, he was... I first found out about the town through the TV with my favourite historian Ruth Goodman and 'Victorian Pharmacy' I was so excited about the prospect of being surrounded by history that I went online and booked a Passport ticket right away! DEFINITELY get the passport ticket if you want to visit more than one museum. Anyway it was incredible... More

The staff in this attraction do a great job making you feel you are really in Victorian times. Print shop man was especially good with boys that were in the shop with us. Candle maker so informative, squatter in the cottage was great. Children of all ages would find something of interest. In season visits were recommended to us -... More

Step back in time to Victorian britain, visit the bank and exchange your money for old money. Take a walk through Victorian life by visiting the bakers and buying good old fashioned bread. Take a stroll by the canal and feed the ducks. Walk down the steep hill to the forest glen and enjoy a meal and a cuppa. When... More

Definitely worth a visit. The kids loved changing their money at the bank and then spending it, although I'm not sure that the licorice root was a hit! They enjoyed speaking to the craftsmen and we all enjoyed tucking into the chips cooked in beef dripping! Only shame was that as it is the winter season the village didn't have... More

Lovely place to visit though can be expensive to enter for families, we had a great time looking around all the old style shops, candle makers, pharmacy, drapery etc. We had a nice lunch in the Victorian tea rooms above the old pub. Staff very helpful with questions and overall very interesting, especially loved the old crofter style cottage. Was... More

Visited today with family. The bank where you convert your money into old money is brilliant. Nice fish and chips but portions are huge so order with care. In winter the exhibit is probably a bit subdued so probably best to visit in the summer. Quite expensive so take advantage of the online booking discount although you need to plan... More
