Local type pub. Pleasant enough. Kind of place you could happily go for a drink on your own or with mates. Don't take a date.

Stopped in on a mini pub crawl with the Mrs. Great selection of beers and the a vast array of chip butties to choose from, they are superb too! Highly recommend a visit.

I mainly visit this pub for the folk tunes session that happens here on the second Sunday of the month. Other times, when I have been in, it is generally incredibly quiet and cosy, with a varied selection of clientele. Generally the people who visit tend to keep to themselves though, without many regulars to strike up a conversation with.... More

Found this pub whilst staying at the nearby Hampton by Hilton. It is on the way to town from the hotel and I would suggest is ideal for either a quick pint in or out or maybe a longer session... It has many quaint features with old wooden swivel stools and a reasonable selection of ales. The staff were friendly,prices... More

Been coming here for years and the only thing that changes is the excellent selection of beer. This pub is not the biggest place but is a stones throw from the centre of Sheffield and has a fine selection of real ale, larger, wine and spirits. There is food available and some snacks at the bar. Friendly staff are there... More

Warm and welcoming, very much unlike the November weather. Impressive selection of real ales and even the odd cider. Very nice, friendly feel to the place. Lots of small snug corners or larger table spaces to suit all tastes.

Friendly bar service, reasonably priced drinks but tables were a bit sticky. Lovely music on sunday evening performed by local musicians - fiddles, whistles etc.- appears to be a regular venue for them

A quick Wednesday night pit stop turned out to be an enjoyable experience. We lingered a bit longer than expected. Good decor and ambiance. Crowded but not crammed or overly noisy so could hear the Trivia Quiz questions clearly. Bit of character - wedge shaped building on a slope with different internal levels. No good for disabled or those with... More

Well what a surprise it was finding this historic little pub quite by chance on route from West Street to the Wicker - never did get to the latter. Its a somewhat unusual shape but a very pleasant interior creating a vey nice ambience. Good beer - good service. Betwixt Cathedral and Crown Court just below Paradise Square its well... More
