Come every year to watch the snooker, lovely venue and grounds and a great atmosphere! Some nice pubs around the venue also!

The crucible put on excellent plays and musicals and is home to the World Snooker championships They are not afraid of putting on something new. Where ever you sit in the Crucible you can see

A great theatre in the round, showing first class plays and revues and musicals. Situated next door to the Lyceum theatre. World renowned for the world class snooker championships.

This is the greatest venue for snooker worldwide..!! We have been to others but nothing competes. We always watch single table days in Sheffield as early rounds with 2 tables can offer poor seating. You are always up close relatively but some seats do disappoint....More

Not sure of the nearest, but Travel lodge are good value. Also talked to someone who used a Holiday Inn express nearby, which they booked a year in advance. Need to book quickly to get a room. Gets booked up,

I'm wanting to buy tickets for snooker at the crucible for my partner. I'm not a fan of snooker & have no clue. Which is the best game to watch & also as tickets are selling fast the options are limited. I'm thinking semi or final. Is the right or left side better, is tiered seating worth it? please help

You will have no idea who will appear in what match until next year. The top 16 players will appear in the opening rounds, against qualifiers. From there it will be from those 4 players who make up the semi finalists. Left... More

What is there to do for spectators when the matches are not on? Can you just hang around the BBC TV area? can you watch exhibitions? Is there a meet and great area? Etc.

The best thing to do is go to the stage door to get autographs. You can go to the Winter Gardens to watch the tv show. Each year they have different exhibitions on. You can see some of the trophies near the cloakroom. Varies... More
