A lovely walk mostly in wooded area running along the river. Lots of Dams, fast flowing waters, stepping stones. Parking by road or saw one car park by a lake. Nice cafe, superb scones. Good play area for small children near the cafe.

This is a good walk on a nice day. The walk alongside the river is very pleasant and surfaces good. You get to see the sites of Sheffield's industrial past, and the cafe at the lower reaches is a bonus.

Its a good place to walk and gives a relief from the city life. The trail is quite easy to walk, giving good views on the stepping stones and river. There is a cafe and the ice cream at the ice cream van was simply...More

This is a very popular amenity, which can be joined at many places, and enables one to do anything from a brief, gentle stroll to a decent, more taxing ramble. The Rivelin Valley Cafe is excellent too: acting as an enjoyable, very reasonably priced reward...More

I was staying with my daughter and partner in their house in Crookes and thought I would take a walk down here to the valley through Boleshill Park. The walk down is OK, though steep in parts, and the walk along the valley is lovely,...More

Beautiful trail. Great for dogs too. Just have to consider where you cross when starting at the top, as there are stepping stones which are not to everyone's liking perhaps or do able for all (ppl and pets). Specifically if more rain has been falling,...More

This is an easy riverside/woodland walk suitable for those with limited mobility and even wheelchairs for the first part. Bizarrely it follows what was once one of Sheffield's main pre-steam industrial areas (they used the water power to drive the machines) and you can still...More

Enjoyable walk through woodland, with cafe, kiddies paddling pool and park along the way. Either enjoy quiet stroll or peacefully sit along the bank sides. Kids can enjoy the water and park

Went with our grandchildren who thought it was great. Adventure playground, splash park, picnic areas and a scenic walk up the valley. Kids took fishing nets and a bucket and although they didn't catch any, they enjoyed paddling in the river and crossing the stepping...More
