Not been here before but a lovely natural environment with a bit of history thrown in too. Ideal place for a family walk with a dog. 3 miles each way not at all challenging and a nice cafe halfway.

Rivelin valley offers an excellent chance to explore Sheffield historic water mills, if you then gist Shepherd Wheel in the Prter valley you get the full picture of the rise of Sheffield as a city.

Go here a lot to walk the dog, beautiful location. There are plenty of places to park the car, can be quite busy at weekends especially when the sun is shining.

I love this place, I'm a regular visitor. It's full of nature and history and changes lots with the seasons. Perfect place to take kids or for dog walkers. Little cafe there too. Thoroughly recommend it.

Great adventure for young children but definitely not suitable for Oran's. You would need a carrier for a baby
