The Pegasus is a charming little Oxford community theatre with an intimate atmosphere, that puts on some splendid shows at very reasonable prices. Try to get front row seats - as there isn’t a raised stage, you will then enjoy being right in the action! The only negative is that parking in the vicinity can be rather difficult to find.

We went to an open science event put on by Oxford Brookes Uni with our young kids. The venue is easily accessible, has great facilities and helpful staff. What more would you want?

We were here to see a play called Blood, which was actually pretty good. As is the theatre. Just at the top of Magdalen Road, it's very smart and comfortable. And it's between two of the best eating places in Oxford, Oli's Thai and the Magdalen Arms which are both top class.

This modern theatre has about 140 comfortable seats allowing the audience to be close to, and feel part of the perfomances. It also has a cafe and bar upstairs, and enough space front of house to get together for discussions during the interval and afterwards. Parking nearby is a problem.

I have been to many things at Pegasus, over the years - probably find myself there at least once a year or so - and always been impressed by the place. It is small enough to feel special, without losing any sense of being a proper professional theatre. Huge range of shows and activities too, most of which are not... More

For the third year running Gonzo Moose has put on the Pegasus Christmas show - this year, "I'm an Aristocrat, get me out of here". The show takes its inspiration from the story of the Scarlett Pimpernel (and that's about as close as it gets). I personally did not find it as funny or clever as last year's 'What the... More

Just got back from a family outing to see a brilliant production here - I'm an aristocract get me out of here! ... Superb! I was a little apprehensive but the location of the theatre was great and very easy to park down the side roads, very spacious inside, comfortable seating - we were in row D which was great... More

Went to see a play here that as a relative was doing the sound production for it & we wanted to show our support. Very modern in style, can't believe it's fifty years old? Small theatre space, so you are right in the action as it were. Great music!!

Pegasus is 50 years old, renowned for its work with young people, emerging artists and professional performance - a unique mix. There are taster days. workshops and performances throughout the year.. After recent transformation of its home off the Iffley Road the theatre has gone from strength to strength. For its 50th year Pegasus has commissioned physical theatre/comedy group Gonzo... More
