Was here last night with my wife for the Billy Ocean concert which was a sell-out (almost!). Lovely old theatre, we had seats in the Circle upstairs (G25 & 26) which gave a great view of the stage but didn't have too much leg room. I had to get up out of my seat for the last half hour of... More

Lovely place, good acoustics and comfortable seats. We visited Oxford especially to see Caro Emerald in concert and it was just amazing. The location is also very convenient with lots of restaurants, shops, hotels, ride stops nearby.

Lovely theatre, great location (park and ride stops nearby) good acoustics but a lack of a quality air con system could ruin your visit. Seats are comfortable, albeit that the actual seat is set at a slight backwards angle, a possible hindrance to people with shorter legs. Wheelchair access to stalls via a lift.

Visited here for some entertainment between Christmas and New Year. The theatre was as expected and the show as it always is. Have now been to see the show 10+ times. The thing that astounded us was that the Theatre was less a third full. Meant that we could stretch out however!

Went to see Aida here last month and was very impressed not only with the opera but with the theatre itself. Very comfortable seats (we were in the Dress Circle) with no restricted views. There is a large stage and the bars and toilets are all very comfortable. Highly recommended.

The New Theatre is an old classic looking theatre. I think it's an important thing for a city to have a good, old fashioned Theatre. It provides a much needed platform for an art-form. The New Theatre is a fantastic facility to have in Oxfo This is the theatre in Oxford that tends to cater for the masses, it will... More

I saw Evita at the New Theatre Oxford and the show is brilliant, all the songs you know and love in the intimacy of this charming small theatre. The cast are very good but one in particular was exceptional; Gian Marco Schiaretti whose character, Che Guevara, narrated the story throughout. His performance was not only spell-binding but I have yet... More

Evita last Saturday was excellent. Great cast and powerful performances and of course brilliant music throughout. The theatre is lovely inside and the seats were comfortable.

Evita was amazing from the start to the very end. The actors that played Evita, Peron and Che were amazing and sang beautifully. The full cast were fantastic. The only issues with the theatre were the seating which were very uncomfortable and you felt you were sitting on wood, the air conditioning was either not on or not working as... More

We went here on Sunday to see Stornoway's last gig. The sound was fantastic and the circle seats were super comfy with a great view. Really lovely theatre.
