Jesus is one of the quieter colleges that you can visit in Oxford, perhaps because it's hidden down a small lane, which is a shame as it's a quaint little place. This does mean it's a very pleasant respite from the bustle of Oxford in...More

Jesus college dates from the reign of Queen Elizabeth the first and is located in Market Street in Oxford city centre. One of its former pupils was Harold Wilson. Historic quad that can be visited for a very small fee.

Great Uncle Cyril Malweisi, first man from our village to attend this robust college. Great beauty, ideal for libraries and room where Lawrence of Araby read his books. Many good memories, plenty Congo food and students so friendly. I thank you.

Always visit this college when we are in Oxford. We were lucky enough to be in the chapel while the organist was practising. The dining hall is particularly interesting with paintings of former students including Harold Wilson and Laurence of Arabia.

Just a truly beautiful place to visit. The Oxford colleges can be a bit hit and miss but nearly everyone agrees that Jesus is one of the best. Absolutely lovely.
